The Vitatron Iontobath is an exciting addition to your health regimen. It begins with an oral mineral taste test.  A diluted solution of minerals, set to taste level is squirted in your mouth. If you cannot taste it, there is potentially a deficiency. No worries, the deficiency is easily remedied with the application of autopolarizing galvanic currents in a footbath that deliver ionic nutrients to the blood stream.  How will you know? Another sample of the mineral should reveal a taste sense which indicates that your blood stream is loaded with the ion.  However, this is a revealing factor in your overall  health status.  Taste and the choice of foods is affected by mineral deficiencies.   When a taste sense is suppressed, many people compensate with the overuse of salt and sugar.   A zinc or chromium  deficiency is often associated with sugar cravings.  A potassium deficiency may be related to salt cravings.   When these deficiencies are corrected, the cravings go away. 

It usually takes months for a deficiency to be resolved through supplementation alone.  The reason is because of faulty digestion.  If food is not properly digested, absorbed, and assimilated, your body cells don't receive the nourishment they need for proper functioning.  The Iontobath is designed to put the minerals directly into the blood stream and bypass the faulty digestion through a process called iontophoresis.  Iontophoresis delivers nutrients through the skin (transdermally) by means of voltage which passes negative and positive charges through the body.   It is considered a non-invasive therapy and has wonderful applications in the delivery of nutrients where they will do the most good ~ the blood stream.  This is called ElectroNutritionTM.

We test for twelve nutrients in the taste test, however, by using the Dead Sea salts (a natural source for minerals) and fulvic acid (a natural source for amino acids, trace minerals, and phytonutrients),   you are getting so much more nutrition.   We suggest a few weeks of this therapy and in between treatment supplemention.  Oral supplements alone are not easy to assimilate and may take years to give results.  This will be a boon to any change you are trying to make in your diet as you will experience less cravings.

Iontotherapy is not new and its application extends from the foot bath to the use of electrodes on the skin to deliver active ions topically. The ions penetrate the deep basal layer, the mucous membranes and up to 3 cm deep into the muscles, joints, ligaments and nerves using pulsed, low-voltage direct current helping to reduce pain, swelling and, in some cases, calcifications such as, bone and heel spurs.  After the iontotherapy treatment, it is important to leave the ion or nutrient solution in place for several hours so do not wash off the skin. This allows for passive diffusion after the current has been removed.
